Lebanese fashion house ‘SAB’ unveils an evocative new visual collaboration with acclaimed digital artist Mariam Ajami, presenting a dreamlike narrative that dissolves the boundaries between couture, contemporary art, and cinematic storytelling.
Set against the vibrant streets of Beirut, the project transforms familiar urban landscapes into surreal visual compositions where sculptural fashion, symbolic imagery, and handcrafted artistry converge. More than a campaign, the collaboration is conceived as an immersive artistic statement—one that celebrates imagination while paying tribute to Lebanon’s enduring creative spirit.
At the heart of the project lies a shared vision between designer Sabrina Hamie, founder and creative director of SAB, and Mariam Ajami. Together, they explore themes of femininity, surrealism, and craftsmanship, constructing a poetic visual universe where every frame invites viewers to look beyond fashion and into the realm of art.
Every element of the production was intentionally created through traditional techniques. From SAB’s signature handcrafted gowns to bespoke sculptural props meticulously produced by local artisans, each detail reflects a commitment to preserving the beauty of handmade craftsmanship. Complementing this artisanal approach, the imagery was captured entirely on analogue film before being hand-developed, adding an organic texture and timeless authenticity that digital processes rarely achieve.
The collaboration serves as a powerful celebration of Lebanese creativity, highlighting the extraordinary talent that continues to emerge from the country’s fashion, art, and design communities. By bringing together couture, digital artistry, analogue photography, and artisanal craftsmanship, SAB and Mariam Ajami present a multidisciplinary work that honors heritage while embracing contemporary artistic expression.
