- Thom Browne closes New York Fashion Week with a theatrical vision of metamorphosis.
For Spring/Summer 2027, Browne transformed The Shed at Hudson Yards into an atmospheric garden, bringing his signature world of precision tailoring, surreal proportions and elaborate craftsmanship into a setting built around transformation. The collection marked the finale of the official NYFW schedule on September 15.
The garden became more than a backdrop; it formed the language of the collection. Familiar codes of tailoring were pushed into something more fantastical, with Browne continuing to blur the boundaries between structure and imagination, tradition and theatricality.
It is precisely this tension that makes Thom Browne’s runway moments so distinctive: fashion becomes performance, silhouette becomes storytelling, and the familiar is transformed into something unexpected.
A fitting finale to New York Fashion Week — where tailoring meets fantasy, and fashion enters a new state of transformation.
